International Leadership Team
Ian Muress has been in the claims business for 33 years and is CEO for all of Crawford’s international businesses outside the Americas, including the U.K., CEMEA and Asia-Pacific regions. He has an acknowledged passion for strategic client partnerships and a global understanding around claims handling and industry standards.
Andrew became Chief Executive Officer of Crawford Australia in November 2004. Immediately prior to that he was Deputy Chief Executive Officer and was responsible for developing and implementing group strategy with a focus on improving and sustaining profitability, growth and brand awareness. In January 2014, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer, Pacific.
Benedict joined Crawford in April 2003 as Managing Director of its UK General Insurance business.
In 2006 he became Chief Operating Officer, UK & Ireland and was responsible for overall operational delivery, training and audit. In this period Benedict also worked on a number of strategic growth projects including Crawford's acquisition of Specialist Liability Services.
Phil Churchman is CIO for the International sector. He started working for Crawford as a consultant in August 2011 and joined as an employee in November 2012.
Phil has spent the majority of his career as a management consultant with Coopers & Lybrand, Accenture, Bain and as an independent. As a consultant he specialised in information systems, strategy and operations improvement. He also spent 3 years as Strategy and Planning Director for the UK P&C division of Aviva. Prior to consulting Phil worked as an engineer for 4 years and qualified as a chartered mechanical engineer.
John was named Commercial Director, International in early 2016.
John joined Crawford & Company in July 2012 in the dual role of Commercial Director and Director of Strategy & Performance Development for EMEA AP. He was responsible for developing and executing long-term financial and strategic plans, including performance management and acquisitions, as well as the recent Lloyd Warwick International transaction.
Mike began his adjusting career with Robins Fletcher in 1981 where he trained as a property adjuster, covering personal lines and commercial losses. Having qualified as a Chartered Loss Adjuster, he opened an office in Nottingham in 1990 but left the business to join Cunningham Hart in London in 1995. His senior management career began when that business merged with Ellis & Buckle and he joined the main board of the new company in 2000. Mike re-joined GAB Robins in 2007 as Chief Operating Officer from Cunningham Lindsey where he was a main board director with specific responsibility for UK Loss Adjusting.
Christine's background is in banking and insurance, and in her 14 years with a major blue chip composite insurer, she had roles in account management, operations, compliance and project management, prior to moving into Human Resources.
In March 2015, Clive was appointed Chief Executive Officer, UK & Ireland for Crawford. He had previously been Senior Vice President, Global Client Development for Europe, Middle East, Africa & Asia Pacific.
Stephen joined Crawford & Company in May 2002 as UK Financial Controller, taking over full Executive responsibility for Finance in the UK with effect from August 2003 and appointed to the UK Board in May 2004.
Chris oversees all legal and compliance issues in our International sector, including corporate, employment, contractual, real estate and regulatory matters, as well as transactions and disputes in those territories. The Risk & Compliance Group, with oversight of governance and compliance in EMEA AP, reports to him. Chris also sits on the Boards of a number of the group’s operations in the region.
Kieran was appointed as Chief Executive of Europe in March 2015 and his role was expanded in 2016 to include responsibility for Latin America. He was previously the Chief Executive of the GAB Robins in the UK which was acquired by Crawford in December 2014.
